STUART COLEMAN
Stuart grew up close to the water in Cornwall and is now a local parent, business owner and outdoor sports enthusiast. Many years ago Stuart once swam in Wimbledon Park Lake and has been wondering ever since why it has never been more accessible for swimmers! Having read recent Merton master plans and environmental reports of the Lake Stuart decided to launch Swim Wimbledon to see if others felt the same and engage amd mobilise wider support. And he was super lucky to stumble across Sophie Brunt and Anette Suveges!
"I miss the sea! The hustle and bustle of London is great but could be enhanced by the serenity of and calm of being in open water. Surely this is something so many would benefit from. My vision is on where the Lake can serve both a vibrant seasonal local community of water goers in the summer months as well as a more serious open water swimming collegiate (who typically get up earlier than most mortals :) Open water swimming is proven to co-exist with wildlife in many other UK Lakes and the essential remedial works to the Lake required before 2022 are the perfect opportunity to make this happen."
I welcome your help and or feedback. Do feel free to make contact
